Gas Flow

Gas Flow Information for
All Models
You get your heads
thoroughly cleaned, re-shaped intake and exhaust ports, valve
seats machined to competition profiles, matched manifolds, polished and
modified combustion chambers and modified polished valves. Some jobs may
be refused unless new Colsibro race guides are fitted for reliability
reasons. All heads will be returned thoroughly cleaned ready for you or
us to assemble. Gas flowing or cylinder
head re-working is always being updated with the newest realisations
based on extensive flow bench, velocity and dyno research. Please keep in mind the
heads are not a simple one fits all application. Each head is a one off
and is re-designed to its cam/engine combination and purpose based on
customer requirements. It is definitely not a simple "spit and
shine" job. The relative stages are as below.

STAGE 1 = custom porting/seat
work
to match cam/engine combination using your original
valves.
STAGE 2 = as above but
using oversize valves for more hp potential.
STAGE 3 = custom
porting, this could be anything from high velocity porting to fitting
huge valves and copper valve seats, example 998 for use with RS cams. Just because it’s marked (stage 3) it doesn’t mean it’s
the best head for your engines combination. Discussion is necessary.
Here's what leading
German Ducati specialist Kamna said about CJS cylinder heads.

"Superb !!! You are
one of the "two" customers' companies who work really serious!!!
Congratulations!!! for all your enthusiasm!!! and knowledge !!!
much companies who work with tuning and prepare cylinder heads don't
have that knowledge and experience what you have!!!Cheers and hope to
meet you somewhere some time!"
